Yvonne Liu is an associate in the Capital Markets practice and is based in Singapore. She has native proficiency in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Teochew, as well as professional working proficiency in Japanese.
Ms. Liu assists public and private companies and underwriters in matters related to securities offerings, corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
Ms. Liu earned her JD/MPH dual degree from Rutgers Law School and Rutgers School of Public Health. While in law school, she was a managing editor of the Rutgers Law Record and served as the co-president of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. She also served as a law student representative of the American Bar Association (ABA), Health Law Section. She was a Hon. Morris Stern Bankruptcy Pro Bono Fellow, a research assistant for Professors Taja-Nia Henderson and Jootaek Lee, as well as a teaching assistant for two courses. Ms. Liu graduated from UC Santa Cruz (Go Banana Slugs!) with honors in Environmental Studies. While in college, she studied abroad at Lund University in Sweden.
Prior to joining the firm full-time, Ms. Liu was a regulatory consultant at a leading consulting company assisting multinational corporations in strategic-setting and compliance on ESG matters, a legal intern at one of the largest full-service law firms in Asia, a legal extern at the Office of the New York State Attorney General, and a legal intern at a Boston-based health technology company.
Ms. Liu is admitted to practice in the state of New York. She is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional for Europe and the US (CIPP/US and CIPP/E).
